Decided to give downtown Naples a shot and it certainly was an adventure. I could complain but that would go against my explorer’s creed. All new things are different so sometimes you gotta jump in the covered wagon, hook up the cattle, and go look for gold.
The first step was walking outside of the gate to catch a bus. Well, the first scheduled bus never did show up. The second one did but drove past. About 10 minutes after that the driver returned and picked us up.
Next we caught a train into downtown Naples. We got off, walked around a little, saw the port and finally got some gelato. By then it was time to head back so we didn’t miss the last bus back to base.
After sitting on the return train for almost two hours we realized it probably wasn’t going anywhere, haha. So we caught a cab to the Capo base. We finally got some dinner and took some evening shots of Mt. Vesuvius from the top of the parking garage before boarding the bus home at 10:30. By midnight we were all in bed, haha. It was definitely interesting!
I didn’t photograph the entire day, I started shooting when we got gelato. Enjoy a few selects from the day!
Beautiful!
I love your new blog:) I miss you friend!
What a neat adventure. So excited to follow your journey.
Great shots! Living overseas was one of my kids’ greatest childhood memories. I hope G and HarperFoFarper come back with some amazing, cherished memories. Oh, and I hope you and Justin do too! 😉
